What to Expect During Your Visits
Every visit follows a calming rhythm inspired by Ayurvedic postpartum traditions, allowing you to simply receive care while your body heals.

One of the greatest gifts you can give yourself is preparing for postpartum before your baby is born. These two prenatal sessions lay the foundation for a peaceful, supported recovery by helping you understand what to expect, organize your home, and thoughtfully plan your postpartum nourishment.
Prenatal Session One: Preparing for Your Sacred Postpartum
In-Home | Approximately 2 Hours
This educational visit takes place in your home so we can prepare both your recovery space and your family's transition into postpartum.
Together we'll discuss what healing looks like during the first 42 days after birth while exploring practical ways to create an environment that encourages rest, nourishment, and bonding.
Topics include:
Understanding postpartum recovery
Ayurvedic principles for the fourth trimester
Breastfeeding and lactation basics
Newborn feeding expectations
Responsive parenting and attachment parenting philosophy
Creating a peaceful postpartum environment
Preparing your bedroom for bodywork and herbal treatments
Visitor boundaries and realistic expectations
Planning for your return home after birth
Questions specific to your family's needs
You'll also learn exactly how each postpartum visit flows so you'll know what to expect once baby arrives.
Prenatal Session Two: Meal Planning & Postpartum Nourishment
Virtual | Approximately 60–90 Minutes
This session is dedicated to planning your personalized postpartum menu.
Together we'll create meals that align with your dietary preferences, cultural traditions, healing goals, and Ayurvedic constitution.
We'll cover:
Personalized meal planning
Weekly menus for each visit
Customized grocery lists
Pantry staples to have prepared
Kitchen organization
Supplies needed for herbal rituals and bodywork
Following this session, you'll receive a personalized grocery list and preparation guide so everything is ready before your baby arrives, allowing each postpartum visit to begin seamlessly.
-
Each visit begins in your kitchen.
While you rest, feed your baby, or simply enjoy quiet time together, I prepare your personalized postpartum meal using the grocery list we created during your prenatal planning.
Each visit includes:
A warming lunch entrée
Homemade nourishing snacks
Herbal infusion, tonic, broth, or restorative beverage
Meals are intentionally crafted to support:
Healthy digestion
Hormonal balance
Tissue repair
Healthy lactation
Energy restoration
Warmth throughout the postpartum body
-
While your meal cooks, we move to your bedroom for a warm oil Abhyanga massage.
Performed on your own bed, this treatment allows your baby to remain close throughout the massage. Whether nursing, sleeping beside you, or simply resting nearby, your little one stays within arm's reach while you receive deeply restorative care.
Unlike deep tissue massage, which is generally not recommended during the postpartum period, Abhyanga uses warm herbal oils and slow, rhythmic strokes to calm the nervous system and encourage healing.
Benefits include:
Supports lymphatic drainage
Encourages healthy circulation
Relieves muscular fatigue
Calms the nervous system
Promotes hormonal balance
Grounds the body after birth
Encourages deep rest and relaxation
-
Following your massage, you'll enjoy a customized herbal recovery ritual chosen according to your stage of healing.
Your ritual may include:
Herbal bath
Sitz bath
Pelvic steam (once postpartum bleeding has completely resolved)
Each botanical blend is selected to:
Support tissue healing
Reduce soreness
Improve circulation
Provide warmth to the womb
Encourage relaxation
During this portion of the visit, I care for your newborn so you can fully relax without interruption.
If you prefer, your baby is always welcome to join you during your bath. These quiet moments together can be deeply nourishing, fostering bonding and regulation, particularly after a long or challenging birth.
-
After your herbal ritual, we'll complete your care with a traditional Bengkung belly bind using your custom organic cotton wrap.
This centuries-old practice offers gentle support as your body heals.
Benefits include:
Supports recovering abdominal muscles
Stabilizes the pelvis and lower back
Encourages healthy posture
Provides comforting abdominal support
Promotes mindful movement throughout recovery
You'll also learn how to comfortably wear your belly bind between visits.
-
Before I leave, your freshly prepared meal is served so you can enjoy a warm, healing lunch without lifting a finger.
Remaining meals, snacks, and herbal beverages are packaged and stored for later, dishes are washed, and your kitchen is tidied—leaving your home peaceful and ready for more rest.
You are left feeling nourished, supported, and cared for in every sense.
